Can I travel with my pets?

As each location is different, it is best to contact your pick up depot beforehand.

Suppliers will generally allow small pets to travel along with you, though the car must be returned in the same condition in which it was rented out. Cleaning fees will apply. If there is any damage from the pet, you will be charged for the damage or charged the extra cleaning fee. Traveling with the proper equipment is advised.

You are not allowed to travel with pets in a Thrifty vehicle.

Great Holiday Locations in Australia

Experience the Outback at Uluru
Formerly known as Ayers Rock, Uluru is a large, single sandstone rock formation over 9 kilometres in circumference. This spectacular natural icon sits in the dead centre of Australia, 4 hours from the nearest large town Alice Springs. This distance from civilisation may limit Uluru’s accessibility, but there is a major resort nearby built to facilitate visitors to the rock, so this could be the best way to experience the outback as a short (or longer) holiday. Uluru is best seen in the evening hours when it miraculously appears to glow red, and at different times of the year, at various hours it appears to even change colour. The vast desert surrounding Uluru, with another famous rock formation the Olgas, located just to the south, make this a great way to get to know the real Aussie outback. By Ben Cluse.

Top 10 Destinations

Kakadu National Park
Kakadu National Park - Close to Darwin. One of the most beautiful National Parks in Australia with plenty of  wild life and variety of native plants. The only negative point, is that it is so popular, that is difficult to walk alone in the park without finding other tourists.
