Australia has been on a winning streak in the UK this month picking up awards for campaign activity and ‘best destination’.
Tourism Australia’s Visit Soon campaign with British Airways has won gold in the travel and hospitality/transportation category at the International DMA Echo Awards held in Boston last week.
The same campaign has also been nominated for a prestigious Drum Content Award in the category ‘best creative content idea using video’. In addition, Australia was named the ‘best destination’ in the Asia/Pacific region at the Travelzoo 2015 Destination Awards in London.
The UK is currently Australia’s third largest inbound market for visitor arrivals. For the 12 months to August 2015 there were 670,700 visitors from the UK.
